Character Traits

Character traits task click here. 1  Choose a character from your story and complete the How is my character as a person? sheet- draft in literacy book first and when checked you can put onto the sheet. We are learning how to analyse a character and identify their traits. We can do this by finding examples of what they do, say, think and how they react to things and people. The author gives us this detail to help us get to know the character. 2 Choose a character to do a character web.     See example sheet. Draw the characte in the middle and have the arms going out in a different colour for each .

Reckless Click the link above to read story or read it from the journal- same one as The Pink Umbrella. The teacher will read story aloud to you -  As you read the story, think about the main parts and then in your literacy book make a timeline of key events Briefly describe key parts of story on timeline. You can draw parts too. The teacher will work with those who need help. Everyone else can do in with a partner or by yourself. Extra for experts: What is the setting? What is the climax/turning point in the story? What is the problem in the story?  Was it solved? Describe how the boy felt at the end of the story? What sort of person was the Dad? How would you describe the boy?
